A140E Transmission

Our A140E transmission sale is going on now. Toyota built the A140E in the early 80’s for use in cars with 4 cylinder engines like the the Camry, Celica, MR2 and Solara. This 4-speed automatic stayed in production until the 2000’s when it was finally retired due to concerns of not being able to keep up with the demands of higher output engines and vehicles. A140E problems became more prevalent as vehicles began to get higher in miles. The more prevalent issues with this transmission were pump failure, overheating and fluid breakdown.

Forget about a rebuilt A140E that are known to be very inconsistent and breakdown. Our XP1 series is it completely remanufactured OEM replacement transmission that contains upgraded parts to address each individual failure point of the A140E.
