Welcome to our 700R4 transmission sale. The 700R4 is one of the most versatile transmissions ever built. Hydra-Matic designed this 4 speed automatic for use in everything form Corvettes, Limos and Cadillacs to Suv’s and Pickups. Also known as the MD8 or TH700R4 this unit was used in the 80s 90s and in the 2000s its still is used as an upgrade for Camaros, Corvettes and other sports cars that were originally equipped with one of the 700R4s predecessors.
Throughout the years the 700R4 had its fair share of problems. The original 700R4s small 27 spline input is not adequate to handle large amounts of torque. Without an aftermarket cooler this transmission is prone to overheating. Loose tolerances around seals and gaskets have caused the unit to leak. Sticky governors and warped valve bodies have been the leading cause of 700R4 failures. Knowing this our XP1 series is much more than just a rebuilt 700R4. Our transmission has been completely remanufactured from the ground up using upgraded parts to address the inherent flaws found in the 700R4. Every unit comes complete with upgraded valve bodies, clutches, seals, bearings, a lock up torque converter and much much more.

This warranty does not cover any of the following:
- Use of engine, clutches, transfer case, drive line, and/or differential for purposes for which it was not originally designed (such as off-road, race car, etc).
- Abuse, neglect, accident, or improper towing.
- Improper installation and maintenance, INCLUDING FAILURE TO FILL THE UNIT WITH PROPER FLUID AND MAINTAIN ADEQUATE LEVELS.
- Charges that may have incurred from towing or vehicle rental.
- Loss of time, inconvenience, vehicle usage loss, commercial loss or consequential damages.
- Failure because of defects or inefficiencies or parts or assemblies not furnished with the transmission (flywheel, clutch, drive shaft, etc).
- Broken Gears or Shafts.
- Cracked or broken cases.
- No claims for labor or consequential damages will be accepted.
- We are not liable for misuse or negligence causing damage, defect, injury, or loss.
- Unit must be returned for our inspection to determine fault.
